Ancient Greek Magic: A Linguistic Approach (Special Offer)
This course is designed for beginners to the ancient Greek language who have a strong interest in the Greek Magical Papyri (PGM) and related ancient traditions. Each week, we will examine an ancient Greek ritual text, analyzing it together line-by-line, with a focus on both pronunciation and translation. This weekly exercise will be supplemented with audio and video recordings, original word-for-word translations, and (optional) homework to reinforce the grammar and vocabulary of the PGM. A private community will allow you to interact with the instructor and other students via text and voice chat.
This special offer includes prerecorded videos from all ten sessions, all other course content, and the opportunity to ask questions of the instructor through Discord or email. We will not be meeting for live sessions. The course is designed to take at your own pace, and you will retain access to the videos for as long as this class is being offered (at least one year from the date of purchase).
